Your New Role

The Programme Planning Coordinator is a critical member of Warner Bros. Discovery’s Programme Planning team. This position will be responsible for the operational planning of one of our four German fiction channels.

A strong interest in fictional content and knowledge of the German TV market are indispensable preconditions for successfully performing this role.

The Programme Planning Coordinator will support the Manager Programme Planning Fiction in developing an overall channel strategy. The position will be responsible for creating the non-linear schedules and will draw up programming information thereby ensuring efficient communication with all relevant departments.

Role Accountabilities

• Responsible for operational planning of one fiction channel in the GSA region
• Support the Manager Programme Planning with development of channel strategy and strategic long-term planning for respective channel
• development of stunts and planning scenarios and creation of programming grids and schedules based on those scenarios in our planning tools What’s On / CE
• Create non-linear schedules autonomously
• Create programming information for internal communication
• Maintenance of programme stock and creation of content-lists
• Continuous observation of ratings, competition and market trends
• Establish and cultivate pro-active communication with all relevant stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 3 years work experience in TV programme planning, ideally in an international media company
• Experience using programme planning tools (ideally Whats’On and/or Content Explorer)
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Very good German and English skills (written and oral)
• Flexibility and the ability to prioritize
• Solid knowledge of the German TV market
• Solid knowledge of TV shows.
• Cooperative, team oriented. Ability to work independently
• Very accurate and reliable working style
• Located in Munich

Der Programmplaner Fiction Sender ist ein bedeutendes Mitglied des Programmplanungsteams von Warner Bros. Discovery. Die Position verantwortet die operative Programmplanung einer unserer vier Fiction Sender im deutssprachigen Raum.

Großes Interesse an fiktionalen Inhalten, Leidenschaft für guten Content und Kenntnis der deutschen TV Landschaft sind unbedingt erforderlich um den Job erfolgreich ausüben zu können.

Der Programmplaner Fiction Sender unterstützt den Manager Programmplanung Fiction bei der Entwicklung einer allumfassenden Senderstrategie. In seiner Funktion ist er zudem verantwortlich für die Erstellung der non-linearen Programmpläne. Durch das eigenständige Anfertigen von Programminformationen wird eine effektive Kommunikation mit allen relevanten Schnittstellen sichergestellt.

Ihr Verantwortungsbereich

• Operative Programmplanung einer unserer Fiction Sender im deutschsprachigen Raum
• Unterstützung des Managers Programme Planning bei der Entwicklung der Senderstrategie sowie der strategischen Langfristplanung des Senders
• Eigenständige Ausarbeitung von Highlight-Ideen und Planungsszenarios und Umsetzung dieser in unseren Planungssystemen Whats‘ On / CE
• Eigenverantwortliche Erstellung der non-linearen Programmpläne
• Erstellen von Programminformationen für interne Kommunikation
• Pflege des Programmstocks und Aufsetzen von Content-Listen
• Kontinuierliche Analyse von Quoten, Wettbewerbern und Markttrends
• Kontinuierliche und effektive Kommunikation mit relevanten internen Schnittstellen

Ihr Profil

• Solide Berufserfahrung in der Programmplanung eines Fernsehsenders, idealerweise in einem internationalen Medienunternehmen
• Erste Erfahrung mit Planungssystemen (idealerweise Whats’On und/oder Content Explorer)
• Sicher im Umgang mit MS Office(Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Eine ausgeprägte, strukturierte, zuverlässige und sorgfältige Arbeitsweise mit einem Blick für Details
• Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse (schriftlich und mündlich)
• Flexibilität und die Fähigkeit zu Priorisieren
• Vertraut mit der deutschen TV-Landschaft
• Großes Interesse am Medium TV sowie Leidenschaft für guten Content und Affinität für Formate und TV Shows
• Kommunikationsstarke Persönlichkeit, die sich durch ein hohes Maß an Teamfähigkeit und Selbstständigkeit auszeichnet
• Sitz in München
