Localisation of the ARTE.tv offering for English-speaking Europe

As part of its European expansion, ARTE is looking to further strengthen the editorialisation and curation of its digital offering - spanning culture, factual content, news and fiction - with the ambition of becoming Europe's leading cultural platform. ARTE's content is available in 7 languages across all of the broadcaster's digital platforms. In addition to French and German, English, Spanish, Polish, Italian and Romanian versions are made available thanks to European co-funding.

Your responsibilities

  • Curate content on arte.tv in line with the news agenda and platform performance across English-speaking Europe.
  • Support the localisation workflows for the ARTE catalogue for English-speaking Europe.
  • Drive audience reach and engagement with English-speaking audiences through content distribution initiatives, including newsletter copywriting and push notifications.
  • Write copy, edit visuals and manage programme metadata for titles featured across ARTE's digital touchpoints (web, mobile, Smart TV).
  • Edit and quality-check English subtitles and voice versions for the catalogue and ensure correct online publication.

Your profile

  • Master's degree in media, journalism or digital publishing.
  • Professional experience in the English-language digital media sector.
  • Native-level command of English, both written and spoken, with excellent spelling, grammar and syntax.
  • Very good knowledge of French and/or German.

  • Strong understanding of the expectations of English-speaking audiences in relation to digital and cultural content.
  • You are creative, attentive to detail and able to work effectively under deadline pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and intercultural awareness.

What ARTE in Strasbourg offers
