Am kommenden Wochenende werden die Emmys verliehen – Vorbote des Events sind an diesem Wochenende schon Verleihungen in den kreativen Kategorien. Die  Creative Arts Emmys sind auf zwei Abende verteilt, am Samstag ging es in erster Linie um Fiktionales. Und hier setzte sich letztlich "The Last of Us" von HBO mit acht Preisen an die Spitze. Auf jeweils vier Preise kamen die Serien "The White Lotus" (ebenfalls HBO) und "The Bear" (FX), "Wednesday" (Netflix). Drei Preise heimste Netflix' "Beef" ein.



Geht man nur nach den großen Preisen, dann verteilten sich diese fair auf alle vier Formate. Die Verleihung findet in dieser Fernsehsaison später statt als eigentlich – das hängt mit dem umfassenden Streik zusammen, der Hollywood im Herbst lahmlegte. Auch deshalb muss bei den Gewinnerinnen und Gewinnern genauer hingesehen werden. "The Bear" etwa wird nicht für die im vergangenen Sommer gelaufene erste Staffel prämiert, sondern für die ersten acht Folgen, die bereits 2022 zu sehen waren.
