Wenn die NRW-Delegation bei den International Emmys eintrifft, ist der Rote Teppich offensichtlich gut gefüllt. Mit dabei diesmal: Dimitrios Argirakos, Claude Schmit, Matthijs Wouter Knol, Philip Borbély, Leopold Hoesch, Anke Engelke, Petra Müller, Michael Loeb, Ruby O. Fee, Sam Davis, Bastie Griese, Gerda Müller, Peter Widlok und Jörg Graf.

Eine deutsche Nominierung gab es in diesem Jahr nicht, Anke Engelke übergab aber einen International Emmy in der Comedy-Kategorie. Er ging an die brasilianische Produktion "Doce de Mae".
